Designer Dental Studio has recently invested in a Diode Laser. The laser uses a small, thin beam of light (at high intensity) to remove soft tissue in the mouth.

This highly advanced technology is used for both functional and cosmetic purposes.

Functional Applications
The laser can be used:

• To remove gum tissue, where it inhibits us from placing crowns or deep fillings. With the assistance of the laser just about any tooth can be restored, even those that have broken below the gum.
  • To eliminate tongue-ties. When the tongue's movement is restricted by excessive attachment to the floor of the mouth, speech can be affected. The laser can remove excess soft tissue to enhance tongue movement.
  • To sterilize nerve canals during Root Canal Treatment. This eliminates all traces of bacteria, protecting the tooth against further infection.
  • To remove excess gum tissue around wisdom teeth. This improves your ability to clean around the wisdom teeth and keep them healthy. It will prevent food from becoming trapped beneath the gum and causing an infection.

Cosmetic Applications
The laser can be used:
