SIGHTS
Our patients are delighted to find 80cm widescreen digital LCD screens available in all four treatment rooms! These screens are positioned on the ceiling above the dental chair, so that during your dental treatment you have something to distract and entertain you. Having something to focus your attention on will make your appointment seem so much quicker – our patients feel like they are at the movies rather than in the dental chair!
We have four options for your viewing pleasure:
Television
There are free-to-air television stations available at all times. Select from Channels 7, 9, 10, ABC and SBS. If you have a favourite television show please let us know!
Relaxation DVD’s
We have several relaxation DVD’s available, which tend to be popular for shorter appointments. Our selection includes underwater scenes, ocean scenes, desert scenes and rainforest scenes – all have amazing footage accompanied by calm, soothing music.
Complimentary movies
For longer appointments, we offer complimentary New Release and Weekly movies from the Blockbuster store located in our centre. If there’s a particular movie you’d like to see, let us know prior to your appointment and we can have it ready for you. If you’d like to browse, simply come in 10 minutes early for your appointment, and a team member can go down to Blockbuster with you.
We also have several movies available at the practice, selected by our own team members! If you’re unsure of what to watch, just ask for our recommendations. Romantic comedy, drama and light action tend to be the best movie genres when you’re in the dental chair! Your own choice
Many of our patients have videos or DVD’s at home that they would like to watch. Whether it’s an old favourite, or a new acquisition, bring your VHS or DVD along to your appointment!
SOUNDS
We also encourage patients to bring in some of their much-loved CD’s or music DVD’s from home. Your favourite artist or band can go a long way to relax you during your appointment!”
Comfort
There are many different ways we help to improve your comfort during your dental appointment.
- Protective lip balm
Most people find their lips can become quite dry and chapped during dental treatment. We apply NS3 Protective Lip Balm throughout your appointment, which protects, moisturises and repairs. If you are male, please don’t be concerned – the lip balm is neither pink nor sparkly!
- Blankets
The dental treatment rooms are always a cool environment. If you do find that you become cold during dental treatment, we have warm fleeced blankets available to keep you warm. These can also be used to support your neck or back while in the dental chair.
- Massage mats
Our full body massage mats are renowned for relaxing patients in the dental chair. Many people actually fall asleep during their appointment! The massage mats have different speeds and settings to create a personalized and unique massage experience.
- Refresher towels
We provide refresher towels for your hands and face after every dental procedure.
